These Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy govern the use of the Georgia Alzheimer’s Foundation website and the information, services, products, messages, and other content and materials provided to our visitors. By using our website you agree to these Terms of Use.

 

Creating Accounts

When you sign up to take part in events, submit photographs or video, or participate in online discussions or message boards you will be asked to create an account and provide a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.

Registration data and other personal information you provide are subject to the Georgia Alzheimer’s Foundation Privacy Policy.

When you communicate with Georgia Alzheimer’s Foundation in any way, you may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or mislead as to the origin of your communication. Georgia Alzheimer’s Foundation takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content represented by you or any third party.

 

Electronic Communications

When you create an account, make a donation or contact us by email, you are communicating with us electronically and you consent to receive communications from us electronically and agree that such communications satisfy any legal requirement that these communications be in writing.

 

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT WILL GEORGIA ALZHEIMER’S FOUNDATION, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, HOWEVER CAUSED, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND WHETHER OR NOT GEORGIA ALZHEIMER’S FOUNDATION HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO (A) THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE GEORGIA ALZHEIMER’S FOUNDATION SITE; (B) ANY CONTENT OR PRODUCTS AVAILABLE OR SOLD ON OR THROUGH THE SITE; OR (C) ANY THIRD PARTY CONTENT OR MATERIALS (INCLUDING USER MATERIALS) OR THE DEFAMATORY, INFRINGING, OFFENSIVE OR ILLEGAL CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY. CERTAIN JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES AND THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

 

Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia applicable to contracts made and performed there, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, and where applicable, the laws of the United States. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in the State of Georgia, and waive any jurisdictional, venue or inconvenient forum objections to such courts.

 

State Disclosure

Georgia Alzheimer’s Foundation is a tax-exempt charity, registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization (pending status.) Our mission is to support innovative research and community services for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia. CONTRIBUTIONS FOR FEDERAL INCOME TAX PURPOSES ARE DEDUCTIBLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAW. REGISTRATION WITH THE STATE AGENCIES DESCRIBED ABOVE DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT, APPROVAL OR RECOMMENDATION.
